Austin FC have acquired Finland international Robert Taylor from Inter Miami ahead of the MLS transfer deadline Wednesday evening. The will earn up to $750,000 in allocation money for his services.

Austin will pay $450,000 in 2025 GAM and $250,000 in 2026 GAM, and could receive an additional $50,000 in 2027 GAM should Taylor meet certain performance-based incentives.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

At Austin, Taylor will be part of an attacking core built around U.S. international Brandon Vazquez and winger Myrto Ozuni as well as winger Osman Bukari. The finnish attacker will give head coach Nico Estevez another option in wide spaces, or – in a similar role to his at Miami – attacking momentum off the bench.

Austin currently sit second in the Western Conference at 16 points, level with third-place Minnesota United.

The primary transfer window closes Wednesday evening at 11:59 pm ET.
