According to the Express & Star, West Bromwich Albion are nearing the capture of Slaven Bilic as their new head coach.

And the news has been greeted positively by the West Brom fans.

According to the Express & Star, a deal has not yet been completed although progress has been made as Bilic nears a switch to the Hawthorns.

The 50-year-old managed West Ham United between 2015 and 2017 before a spell with Al-Ittihad Club in Saudi Arabia.

The former Croatia international now seems to be closing in on a return to England, however, with an announcement potentially being made this week.
